I have put together a short video explain how to put together a bee hive frame correctly. This is a task that is important to get right. When I started beekeeping I was told that I didn’t need to hammer and nails into the frame, as the honey bees will glue them together with propolis.
But when I went to harvest honey, the frame just feel apart with the weight of the honey. I have learnt how to build them correctly, and I can tell you that they must have 11 nails in each frame if its done right.
